Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate for president, paid Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State a second visit in less than three months.
Recall that on June 22, 2022, Obi met with Wike in Port Harcourt in a lengthy, behind-closed-doors conversation at the governor’s private residence.
Only 48 hours have passed since the formal beginning of the 2023 election campaigns. Additionally, the Peoples Democratic Party, to which Wike belongs, is now experiencing an internal crisis at the time of Obi’s most recent visit.
At the time this report was filled up, neither the specifics nor the conclusion of the meeting were known.
However, Wike used social media on Friday to post images from the encounter to his Twitter account.
Wike spotted in white and Obi, blue senator material, were seen shaking hands in front of Rivers State Governor’s residence in pictures online.
The Rivers State Governor wrote, “It was nice hosting my brother @PeterObi once again.”
