Liverpool: Adama Traore Poised To Snub Reds And Extend Wolves Stay

Liverpool continue to track Ben White following Virgil van Dijk’s injury while their hopes of signing Adama Traore from Wolves may be fading
Liverpool’s summer signings appear to have settled after an eventful start to the new season, with Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota impressing early in their respective careers for the club.

The Reds might wish they had invested in a new centre-back, however, especially after Virgil van Dijk’s injury in Saturday’s Merseyside derby.

The Dutchman is expected to face a long spell out with a knee ligament injury, while Liverpool are also without goalkeeper Alisson.

At the moment, the Premier League champions can’t delve into the transfer market, but that will change in January.

And here are all the latest transfer rumours from Anfield.

Adama Traore is set to ignore interest from Liverpool and sign a new contract at Wolves, according to the Sun.

But Traore is set to double his salary at Molineux, joining Rui Patricio, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez on a four-year contract worth over £100,000 per week.

That is expected to deter Liverpool, who were already reluctant to meet Wolves’ huge asking price for the Spain international.
