Olusegun Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar are currently in a closed door meeting, as reports have it the former president is set to endorse him.
Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is currently in Abeokuta holding a closed-door meeting with his former boss, Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Atiku was accompanied to the trip by top officials of the PDP and his campaign team, including his righthand man and former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the party.
The visit to Obasanjo is of enormous significance, seeing how Obasanjo relentlessly told everyone who cared to listen that his deputy for eight years is unfit to hold the nation’s highest office.
The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, also arrived the residence of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
As earlier reported by SaharaReporters, though, Obsanjo is gradually having an about face and will eventually endorse Atiku for 2019, according to sources very close to him.
